She is closely associated with the Virgin Mary, Isis, Santoshi Ma, and Aphrodite.
She is usually shown seated on a lotus flower holding a child in her arms or a
rosary. At times she is shown riding a dragon or holding a vase which contains
the water of life. Quan Yin (Kuan Yin) is the embodiment of compassion and mercy.
Her chant brings peace and enlightenment.

Namu Quan Shir Yin Pu Sa
Translation: I offer respect to She who hears the sounds of the world, Being
of wisdom.

Her mantra, "Om Mani Padme Hum," chanted daily, is said to cultivate
the compassion that heals the world.
